Brand-specific troubleshooting

EcoTank first fill & charging

Follow the initial ink charge exactly. Interrupting the first charge causes air in lines and weak colour. Keep the printer powered during the process.

Wi‑Fi / Epson Smart Panel

If Smart Panel can’t find the printer, confirm 2.4 GHz compatibility and temporary disable VPN on the phone during setup.

Horizontal banding

Run nozzle checks, then cleaning. For stubborn gaps after tank refills, check you filled the correct colour ports — cross-filling is hard to recover from.

Waste ink / maintenance box

Some models use a replaceable maintenance box. When the printer reports it full, replace with the Epson part for your model rather than bypass hacks.
